When my family migrated west from Upstate New York in 1967, I was a child. I became involved in Las Vegas real estate in 1993. Even through a childs eyes, Las Vegas was a small friendly horse town. Thats what the locals called it proudly.

Well here we are in the year 2006 and we survived the Y2K. Not only has Las Vegas real estate, survived even the worst economic downfalls throughout the years but it has grown, evolved and taken on a life of its own.I am still selling Las Vegas real estate. Yes there is history in this valley. Some bad but mostly good. I am proud and privlaged to have seen it all.

From 1967 to 2006, the only thing that is the same are the "local people" these are people who have lived here before 1980 and continue to make Las Vegas thier home. These people and thier families before them are the true backbone of this community. They brought thier children here and raised them like any other American family. The only difference was that the main economic industry was legalized gaming.

Not everyone living here was in Gaming, but gaming did have an impact on every person that lived in the town.

Hollywood had a field day with the Las Vegas setting. It deplicted all the things that sell excitment and show tickets. I can assure you that is not the Las Vegas I know. The people who live here are honest, hardworking ,respectable family orientated people. We have never judged ourselves as the movie characters protrayed .
